Warning
When the pedal is on bypass the master volume does not affect the headphone volume. In this case the total volume is adjustable in Darkglass Suite. With sensitive headphones, the bypass volume can be very loud if not adjusted.

One of the Luminal Booster Ultra’s brightest highlights is its full-featured compressor. It not only provides you with comprehensive dynamics control, but thanks to its flexible 4-knob layout, it also gives you ample character-shaping choices. The Filter knob provides you with an adjustable lowpass filter for your compressed signal, while the Comp knob sets the amount of compression applied. Meanwhile, the Blend knob enables you to strike the perfect balance between your clean and compressed signals. You also get a Gain knob that controls the compressor’s post-Blend output level.
Versatile tone-shaping circuitry

For starters, you get a +/-20dB Mid Gain knob and a variable Mid Frequency knob for dialing in your midrange. Next, a 6-band graphic equalizer, which includes low-shelf and high-shelf sliders, gives you exacting control over your overall frequency curve. You also get a Master level slider to compensate for extreme boosts or cuts. Finally, the Luminal Booster Ultra’s Character knob allows you to blend in the pedal’s tone-shaping circuitry according to your individual preferences.
Built-in cabinet simulation
To make the Luminal Booster Ultra pedal a complete tone solution for bassists, Darkglass equipped it with its award-winning IR-based cabinet simulation. This state-of-the-art IR loader includes seven Cab Sim slots, which are accessed by pressing on the Character knob, allowing you to route the sound of a miked cabinet out the pedal’s XLR DI output for straightforward connection to a PA system or recording setup.
